Probate

 

Probate is a court proceeding that moves a deceased person’s assets to his or her heirs and/or beneficiaries.   Waugh Law handles probate administration and litigation that may arise during a probate estate, such as will contests, elder abuse, improper accounts, and mismanagement of the estate.


Trusts

 

A trust is a probate avoidance device.  A trust directs a trustee on how to move a deceased person’s assets to his or her beneficiaries without going to court for a probate proceeding.   Waugh Law handles trust administrations, and litigation that may arise during trust administration such as trust contest, elder abuse, improper accounts, and mismanagement of the trust estate.


Conservatorships

 

A conservatorship is a court proceeding where an adult is determined to no longer be able to care for his/her person and/or finances. Waugh Law handles conservatorship petitions, conservatorship administration, and litigation that may arise during a conservatorship proceeding such as a contested conservatorship petitions, elder abuse, improper accounts, or mismanagement of a conservatorship Estate.
